Prescient PRESCIENT APPLIED INTELLIGENCETM

Company Background
Prescient Applied Intelligence (Prescient – OTCBB: PPID) was formed by the merger of Prescient Systems, Inc. and The viaLink Company, and provides innovative software solutions and services that enable retailers and suppliers to work collaboratively as strategic partners to improve sales, efficiencies, and customer service. Our tailored solutions capture, manage, and share critical data, giving companies the power to make better and more informed decisions. Our offerings include Vendor Managed Inventory, Store Level Replenishment, Scan Based Trading, and Visibility & Analytics™ business intelligence solution, which are all powered by our Demand Signal Repository (DSR). The comprehensive commerce data, aggregated by the DSR, brings greater visibility throughout the supply chain enabling businesses to forecast with more accuracy, reduce stock-outs and shrink, and improve performance at the store shelf.

Prescient Systems, originally founded as Lucas, Bear & Associates, began marketing forecasting and inventory planning software applications to the manufacturing sector in 1982. Its name was changed to Prescient Systems in 1996 in connection with a management buyout led by Jane Hoffer, the current President and Chief Executive Officer of Prescient Applied Intelligence. Over the last 10 years, Prescient Systems evolved into a leading provider of supply chain planning and collaboration solutions for the retail industry.

viaLink was originally founded as the Applied Intelligence Group in 1985 with the express purpose of providing data synchronization capabilities to the grocery and consumer packaged goods industries as a tool to facilitate invoice reconciliation among stores and suppliers. Over the ensuing years, viaLink leveraged its initial platform technology originally developed for data synchronization to create the first non-proprietary, turnkey scan based trading application for the retail industry.

Prescient currently has over 500 customers including Ahold, Coors, Domino's Pizza, Dreyer’s, Meijers, Rite Aid, Sara Lee, Schwan's, Sunny Delight, SUPERVALU, Well’s Dairy, and Wyeth.

Market Leadership
Over the years Prescient has been consistently recognized for innovation, market leadership, customer service and growth. The company has received awards such as: Computerworld’s Innovation Technology Awards; Software Business Magazine’s Best Product Strategy; Global Logistics and Supply Chain Strategies’ 100 Great Supply Chain Partners; Supply Chain Management Review’s The Supply Chain Top 100 Software Vendors; APICS Corporate Award of Excellence; Consumer Goods Technology’s Elite Best of Breed; The Deloitte Technology Fast 500; and the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s 2005 Small Business Excellence Award for Technology.
