Jane F. Hoffer, President & CEO Jane Hoffer is president and chief executive officer of Prescient Applied Intelligence (OTCBB: PPID). She is responsible for directing the long-term vision of the company and its commitment to remaining a competitive force in a rapidly changing marketplace. Prior to Prescient Applied Intelligence, Hoffer was president and CEO of Prescient Systems for eight years. During that time Hoffer led the evolution of the company into a premier provider and innovator of retailer-centric planning and collaboration solutions for the consumer products market. Prior to Prescient, Hoffer held key management positions at IBM and Lucas-Bear, where she drove the success of a wide range of strategic initiatives. During her tenure at Lucas-Bear, Hoffer led a management buyout in December 1996 that led to the formation of Prescient Systems.
Daniel W. Rumsey, Chairman of the Board Mr. Rumsey has served as Chairman of our Board of Directors since December 2004, following his election in connection with the merger between our predecessor, The viaLink Company and Prescient Systems on December 31, 2004. He is currently serving as our Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Rumsey is also the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azzurra Holding Corporation (formerly, Wave Wireless Corporation), which recently emerged from protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. From 2003 to March 2006, Mr. Rumsey held various other positions at Azzurra Holding Corporation including Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Chief Financial Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Rumsey was Vice President and General Counsel of Knowledge Kids network, Inc., a multi-media education company. Prior to joining Knowledge Kids Network, Inc., Mr. Rumsey was the President and General Counsel of Aspen Learning Systems and NextSchool, Inc., which he joined in February 1997. Mr. Rumsey sold Aspen Learning Systems and NextSchool to Knowledge Kids Network in 1999. Mr. Rumsey has an extensive legal and finance background, dating back to 1987 when he served at staff attorney in the SEC’s Division of Corporate Finance. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of Azzurra Holding Corporation, Mr. Rumsey serves on the Board of Directors of DIRT MotorSports, Inc. and Xelr8 Corporation.
Michael A. DiPiano Michael DiPiano is a managing partner of NewSpring Ventures. Prior to joining NewSpring, he was chairman of Maxwell Systems, a venture-funded e-commerce company. DiPiano also co-founded four additional venture backed startups, including MessageLink, HR Division, Alliance One, and Vytek Wireless. From 1996 until 1998, DiPiano was affiliated with Safeguard Scientifics, Inc. and their related venture funds, serving in high-level management positions and working on investment strategies with several of their wireless and IT-related companies. He is a Director of Ecount, Maxwell Systems, MessageLink, HR Division, Ripple Technologies, Vytek Wireless, and University City Science Center. DiPiano received a B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from New York University.
Mary Lou Fox Mary Lou Fox is currently president of Fox Supply Chain Consulting. Fox is a recognized expert in supply chain management and has broad experience in the software and services industry. Her career at Manugistics spanned the growth of the company from the beginning of its supply chain business through 1999. During that time, Fox built the consulting services business and served in executive positions in marketing and product development. In addition to her director position at Prescient, Fox is also on the faculty and board of advisors at the Executive Center for Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto.
Warren D. Jones Warren Jones has served on the company's board of directors since December 1999, and as interim chief executive officer of the company from September 2001 until August 2002. Jones is currently the chairman of the compensation committee of the board of directors. Prior to his retirement, Jones spent 31 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he served as a managing partner in New Orleans and Pittsburgh. Most recently, he was responsible for risk management and compliance for the firm's Southwest region technology, telecommunications, and entertainment clients.
Patrick L. Kiernan Patrick Kiernan has served as a member of the company's board of directors since January 2004. Kiernan is currently president of Day/Kiernan & Associates, a consulting group focused on strategic and emerging issues with emphasis on consumer future forces, customized education programs, and trade policy development, where he has served since 1998. Prior to 1998, Kiernan was a senior vice president for Grocery Manufacturers of America. He is a contributing senior editor to Grocery Headquarters Magazine, serves on the staff of St. Joseph's University's Center for Food Marketing, The Council of Logistics Management Research Strategies Committee, and is a research affiliate with the Institute for the Future in Menlo Park, California.
